Zátiší Group Becomes the First Hospitality Company in Central Europe to Achieve B Corp Certification

Zátiší Group, one of the Czech Republic’s leading hospitality companies, has joined a global community of purpose-driven businesses that includes Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Jamie Oliver Group, and Chloé. The company has been awarded B Corp certification, one of the world’s most rigorous and respected standards for responsible business.

Granted by the non-profit organization B Lab, B Corp certification recognizes companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. With this achievement, Zátiší Group becomes the first hospitality company not only in the Czech Republic but in Central Europe to earn the certification.

The milestone comes in the same year that Zátiší Group celebrates its 35th anniversary, underscoring values that have shaped the company since its founding: exceptional hospitality, quality, respect for people and ingredients, and a commitment to creating positive impact beyond the dining table.

For Zátiší Group, B Corp is not simply a recognition of past achievements. It is a long-term commitment to continuously measuring, improving, and embedding responsible business practices across every part ofthe organization - from fine dining restaurants and large-scale catering operations to corporate and school dining services.

“I am incredibly proud of the entire Zátiší Group team, which has been building these values for more than 35 years,” says founder and owner Sanjiv Suri. “For us, B Corp is not a marketing label or a one-time award. It is proof that a business can be commercially successful while creating value for guests, employees, suppliers, local communities, and the environment.”

Unlike many sustainability certifications, B Corp evaluates a company holistically. The assessment examines governance, employee wellbeing, supplier relationships, customer responsibility, community impact, transparency, and environmental performance. Companies must undergo a rigorous verification process, provide extensive supporting data, and achieve a minimum score of 80 points on the B Impact Assessment. Certification must then be renewed every three years, encouraging continuous improvement.

Zátiší Group achieved a score of 96.6 points and spent more than two years preparing for certification. During this process, the company reviewed internal processes, refined impact measurement systems, and strengthened data collection across areas including carbon emissions, energy consumption, waste management, and charitable initiatives.

“B Corp sets a higher standard for the next chapter of Zátiší Group,” adds Suri. “We want to continue inspiring others through unforgettable hospitality, a responsible approach to food, and a long-term vision forsustainable gastronomy.”

Sustainability has long been embedded in the group’s approach to hospitality. Zátiší Group works closely with local suppliers and farmers, prioritizes seasonal ingredients, supports ethical farming practices, reduces waste, and embraces principles of the circular economy. In practice, this means placing greater emphasis on ingredient provenance, maximizing the use of every product, sourcing locally whenever possible, and designing menus that deliver exceptional experiences without compromising the world around us.

Social impact is another important pillar of the company’s identity. In 2026, Zátiší Group expects to welcome more than 2.5 million paying guests across its businesses. At the same time, it plans to provide more than five million nutritious lunches to children in underserved communities - equivalent to two donated meals for every meal sold.

“Being a B Corp means competing not to be the best company in the world, but one of the best companies for the world,” says Suri. “For us, it represents a commitment to the future - one built on hospitality, responsibility, excellence, teamwork, and respect for future generations.”

Thanks to our guests, we have the opportunity to do more than serve great food and provide great service. Every visit becomes part of a larger story. That is what meaningful business looks like for us.

By achieving B Corp certification, Zátiší Group reinforces its belief that the future of hospitality is defined not only by exceptional food, design, and service, but also by transparency, responsible sourcing, strong relationships, and a genuine commitment to positive impact.
