Conference Healthy Companies, Healthy Czech Republic

Companies That Really Care About Their Employees Have a Competitive Advantage

The third annual conference Healthy Companies, Healthy Czech Republic took place on 11 June in PernerKarlín in Prague. HR professionals, managers and corporate leaders gathered around a topic that is gaining strategic importance in Czech business: caring for employee health as an investment, not an expense. The program brought lectures and panels on nutrition, psychological resilience, cardiovascular prevention and the role of artificial intelligence in medicine. The highlight of the day was the announcement of the results of the Healthiest Company competition.

Employee Health as an Economic Variable

“If I had to recommend one thing in caring for employee health: take care of them based on data and strategy. It is an economic variable and if you invest blindly as a company, it will not pay off,” says Barbora Vágnerová, a program manager specializing in employee health, education and international cooperation. The topic also resonated in the panel discussion "Do you care about your employees? Do they know about it?", which focused on how to ensure that employees actually use the benefits.,

AI is changing medicine faster than we realize

MUDr. Tomáš Šebek, surgeon and co-founder of uLékaře.cz, introduced artificial intelligence-based technologies that are already changing everyday health care. However, he reminded us that they are most useful only when we follow long-term trends, not one-off values. And one specific tip, what can we do now for our long-term health? Invest in quality relationships and meet people we care about.

You could get your health checked right on the spot

The Health Zone was also open throughout the day, where participants could have their moles and skin condition checked by a dermatologist, have their eyesight, blood pressure and heart rate measured, or have their foot load assessed using a podoscope. Professional massages and VR glasses with controlled stretching and relaxation were also available.

Česká spořitelna won the title of Healthiest Company

Česká spořitelna took first place. “I greatly appreciate the award for the systematic care that Česká spořitelna devotes to the health of its employees, and we are very happy that uLékaře.cz has been a very good partner for us in this for many years,” says Pavla Mendlová, Health Care & Well-Being Manager of Česká spořitelna.
