Internship Program

NCCC Internship Program

The NCCC is aiming to support internships of Dutch students at NCCC member organizations. We do this, because we believe that international internships will equally benefit students and members.

Benefits for students - An international internship allows a student to put theory into practice, learn from professionals and at the same time immerse in a completely new environment and culture. For students that seek an international experience, the Czech Republic is quite ideal: travelling between The Netherlands and Czech Republic does not take long, yet a student will be able to experience a different cultural environment, both socially and professionally.

Benefits for members - Students can help organizations find solutions to diverse and complex issues. They offer a fresh approach to existing problems can liven up your workplace and bring new energy. After finishing their internship, students will be your ambassador. After finishing their studies, students will often start to work for one of their internship organization.

Role of the NCCC - The NCCC will not be an “internship provider”. We will only bring together supply and demand, and do not intend to make a profit on this activity. We have several contacts at Universities and Universities of applied science (Hogescholen), who will help us find interested students. We plan to support students and members by offering advice on accommodation, remuneration and professional support.

Cost - There are various direct cost when hiring an intern (below is an indication only):

Accommodation         around CZK 10 000 / month

Remuneration             around CZK 10 000 / month

Other                          travelling cost & local commuting

Requirements - What is expected from an Internship Company (varies between different institutes):

  • Professional, fully operational organizations (not start-ups)
  • A minimum of 5 permanent employees (full-time) for internship and 30 for graduation projects
  • Organizations where professional expertise is on hand (Marketing/Sales/Accountancy/…)
  • The hands-on manager is always or regularly present and speaks English
  • The student has a full-time work station (in the professional environment)

Types of Internships - Types of internships vary per study; many institutes offer the following options:

  1. Regular Internship: A professional orientation period, 2nd year, approximately 10-12 weeks.
  2. Internship Graduation project: A profession preparatory period, 4th year, approximately 19-20 weeks; in the character of graduation with a broad nature in combination with a graduation assignment report.
  3. Work and study visits: 4-week programs, where students study in the morning and work on a practical project in the afternoon for a period of one month. Recommended for online projects.

Please let us know, if you would be interested in attracting a Dutch intern. If yes, what type of assignments (field + type: research/project/) would you have and what type of student (field of study + level) would you be interested in?

Please send an email to: and we will get in touch with you.
