Auto Palace reached record turnover of 215 mil. EUR last year


For Auto Palace Group, the last year was the best in the history of the company in the Czech Republic. In 2016, the company has reached a total turnover of 215 mil. EUR (5.8 billion CZK) and it has also consolidated its position of the second largest car dealer network in the Czech Republic.

Company operations

Last year represented a record one for the company in several factors. The company exceeded its last year's turnover by more than 850 mil. CZK to 5.8 billion CZK, also sold the most cars in the history of the Czech market. In 2016, the Auto Palace dealership network sold a total of 14,069 cars in the Czech Republic, which represents an increase of 18 % in comparison with 2015. 

Leadership in sales

Auto Palace Group defended its leading position of dealer No. 1 of Ford, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Huyndai vehicles in the Czech Republic. The company is also dealer No. 2 of Volvo and No. 3 of Opel vehicles and the fifth largest dealer of Peugeot brands. Three years after the opening of the Škoda showroom in Prague Spořilov, the company ranks an excellent 9th place in the overall sales of all 184 Škoda dealers in the Czech Republic.

"Year 2016 was great for us in several ways as we achieved an all-time record in turnover and sales. We also successfully entered the segment of luxury used cars in the Czech Republic last year," says Ralph Howie, CEO of Auto Palace Czech Republic and Slovakia. "This year we want to approach our goal even closer to become the dealer No. 1 in the Czech Republic in 2020," adds Ralph Howie.

Future plans and investments

The company completed the next phase of modernizing their showrooms last year. In total, the company invested in the reconstruction 36 mil. CZK and another 28 mil. CZK is planned for this year. Also thanks to an increasing demand for Tesla cars, the company is enlarging its portfolio to 6 vehicles that will be available for rental at RentPoint.

The company will further expand its marketing activities. “This year we will even more focus on digital channels and social media because they proved to bring us the highest revenue for investment. The marketing budget ready for this year was boosted by 12% to 46 mil. CZK,” says Stanislav Perkner, marketing director of Auto Palace Czech Republic and Slovakia.
