Interactive Discussion Forum 23. 11. 2009

On Monday, 23 November, we organized the first Interactive Discussion Forum, with the title

“The crisis: challenge or opportunity?”,

in the premises of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Based on an inventory that the SME/Events Group of our Board made, particularly the following topics were discussed:

• Flexibilization of labour cost
• How to get subsidies
• Financial challenges like credit lines from banks
• Cash flow management

The Discussion was moderated by Steef Klop, Private Sector Companies Leader PricewaterhouseCoopers and NCCC Board Member, who also shared his knowledge and experience in cash-flow management and relations with banks. Marjet Andriesse, General Manager Randstad CR & SR and NCCC Board Member, emphasized the importance of flexibilising the labour costs. Robert Šedivec, General Manager PNO Consultants, introduced the possibilities but also difficulties connected with drawing financial means from the EU and other funds.

Each topic introduced was followed by a discussion of the participants with the speaker, but also among each other; the participants shared their experiences in various fields of their activities.

Participants of the first Interactive Discussion Forum agreed the session was very beneficial for them and evaluated it very positively in general. We will therefore soon approach our members to identify other issues they are dealing with, so that we can organize another successful event of this format.
