Moravian Wine Party & Starobrno Tour in Brno 16. 10. 2008

Autumn was showing us its unkind face when we set out on our journey to Brno on 16 October. The rain was pouring down, but the participants seemed not to worry about it at all, at least not those travelling on a bus chartered by our colleagues from the German Chamber of Commerce, who co-organized the event with us.

Most of us arrived just in time to be welcomed by the representative of the Starobrno Brewery, who gave those interested a guided tour through the brewery. Thereafter, the participants, members of the Netherlands-Czech and the German Chambers of Commerce, were invited to a restaurant to enjoy 3 different kinds of beer produced at Starobrno.

This was only the beginning though. The participants of the brewery tour then moved to the nearby wine cellar “U královny Elišky”. Although the space was huge, the atmosphere of this Moravian wine cellar was very impressive. In addition to a great buffet, we had an opportunity to taste a variety of excellent local wines, and even learn something about their growing and harvesting from a professional wine producer.

Just like at our other events, the participants were not only enjoying pleasant conversations, but also sharing experiences and establishing new valuable contacts, whether within their chambers, or between them.

We got positive reactions from the participants, so we do hope all of them enjoyed the event. In this respect, we would like to thank our colleagues from the German Chamber for great cooperation.
