International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) - 11. 11. 2008

On Tuesday, 11 November, Donors Forum, our Chamber and the British Chamber, organised a whole day conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the Municipal House in Prague. The conference had over 150 participants.

This conference is organised once every two years by Donors Forum, and we joined them to finalise this year’s “Promoting Good Entrepreneurship through NGOs” project of ours and Donors Forum. All 15 NGOs participating this year in our curriculum, had the opportunity to present their projects, and find a business partner in this large audience of the conference.

The audience voted during the breaks while visiting the presented projects. The three best presentations got the floor for a live presentation at the end of the conference. Thus, the results, on which representatives of the NGOs had worked during the whole curriculum with our tutors from Ahold, Business Lease, Ernst and Young, ING, RBS and Unilever, were visualised for all present. And the British Chamber joined in the organisation of this conference to mark their co-operation from next year on, in our project “Promoting Good Entrepreneurship through NGOs”.

The program had panels with speakers, and moderators and parallel workshops. From our side Ahold, G4S, ING and Unilever participated with speakers or a moderator, while also sponsoring the conference.

The representatives of the NGOs expressed satisfaction with the usefulness of the curriculum, and the opportunity to present the results at the conference.
